Day 3/4

Arrived pretty late to my sister’s because of intense traffic through D.C. Decided to rest and eat breakfast before heading out since we were (are still?!) exhausted. It’s still raining too. Should be a fun drive through the mountains today.

Love you sissy, thank you and Ryan for having us. xoxo

Day 3

Des is having a bit of a tough time grasping what is happening. He keeps asking to go home and it breaks my heart. We keep telling him we are on our way to our new home, but we have a very long drive ahead. He hasn’t been eating normal. But we were finally able to get him to eat some breakfast today. And he loves the camera, so I was able to get a toothy grin out of him. At least he looks happy! I’m hopeful he will adjust, he’s a tough dude.

Day 1

So far, so good. Des and I just checked into a hotel in Nashua while Greg finishes up helping the movers pack our things. The kiddo is having some pizza while I take a breather from our busy day. We did all our laundry last night and packed all the things we have to take with us this morning. Greg moved everything from our storage unit into our apartment yesterday, and has been non stop packing and loading the car today; I can only imagine he’s running on fumes and adrenaline. We are going to dinner tonight and meeting some locals to say farewell.

It’s only day 1, but we are already off and running. Tomorrow we meet the movers one last time to sign off on the load for the truck. Then we are off to Connecticut for our first stop, friends and food at the Treehouse brewery.

California, here we come!
